Victorian Chid

Victorian children are fun to draw. They look like miniature adults, and are usually in stiff proper poses. I also like that little boys had to wear dresses at a young age.

Day 4

Pen on paper.
I took this one into Photoshop to add the chair fabric pattern and give it a sepia tone.

Here is the original.

Drawing A Day

Inspired by following Daisy and Damon's drawing a day blogs, I've decided to try it myself.
I have been working too much on a computer and found myself incredibly rusty at drawing on paper.
Here's Day 1

From a book of late 1950s Sears Catalog Fashions.
I love how all the models are perfectly posed in the most stiff and uncomfortable ways. I also love many of the styles of clothing. This is one of my favorites.

Here is a Pen Illustration I made for an event at The Steve Allen Theater that will be held at The Hollywood Forever Cemetery. The illustration is for the Fall '08 Season Program.

The Graphic Designer for the theater added the title (which is from a 1905 poster by F. Monod) the text, and black sky ( I originally had a white sky).
